Lado, ledo, lido, lodo, ludo, decirlo al rev\u00e9s lo dudo. Ludo, lodo, lido, ledo, lado, \u00a1Qu\u00e9 trabajo me ha costado!<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Translation: <\/strong>Lado, ledo, lido, lodo, ludo,<\/em> I doubt I can say it in reverse. Ludo, lodo, lido, ledo, lada<\/em>, that\u2019s hard work!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One aspect of Spanish pronunciation that is straightforward is the vowels. In Spanish, every vowel has only one sound, with few exceptions. Practice saying them in this sentence and you\u2019ll pronounce them easily in no time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s another one that helps you practice your vowels. This one shows just how much of a difference a vowel can make in the meaning of a word, and it also shows how important it is to pronounce each of them clearly!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This one combines different vowel sounds with the rolling r <\/em>and strong qu <\/em>sound. If you can say this one quickly, native speakers will be seriously impressed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Translation: <\/strong>\u00d1o\u00f1o Y\u00e1\u00f1ez eats yams in the morning with the boy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Translation: <\/strong>R and r guitar, r and r barrel. The wagons are rolling quickly, full of sugar from the train.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rolling r <\/em>sound can be difficult for English speakers to start with, but it\u2019s even more difficult to pronounce it correctly in different words! This tongue twister may be a mouthful, but it\u2019ll help you practice this tricky sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tres tristes tigres tragaban trigo en un trigal. Un <\/em><\/strong>tigre, dos tigres, tres tigres tragaban en un trigal. \u00bfCu\u00e1l tigre tragaba m\u00e1s? Todos tragaban igual.<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Translation: <\/strong>Three sad tigers were eating wheat in a field. One tiger, two tigers, three tigers were eating in a wheat field. Which tiger ate more? They all ate the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s another one with the rolling r <\/em>sound. Because the t <\/em>sound is so strong, rolling the r <\/em>directly after it can be particularly challenging. Speak this tongue twister aloud a few times, and you\u2019ll eventually become accustomed to this difficult sound!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This trabalengua <\/em>helps you pronounce combinations of the different vowel sounds while rolling the r<\/em>. (It\u2019s also a pretty funny story!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This one is useful because it helps you develop a rhythm when you\u2019re speaking. There is also another variation of this tongue twister: Pedro P\u00e9rez Pereira, pobre pintor portugu\u00e9s, pinta preciosos paisajes por poco precio para poder pasar por Par\u00eds<\/em>. Pedro Per\u00e9z Pereira is a pretty busy painter!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Si tu gusto no gusta con el gusto que gusta mi gusto, qu\u00e9 disgusto tiene mi gusto al saber que tu gusto no gusta con el gusto que gusta mi gusto.<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
