Comments about Thai, Conversational:

I had learned a lot from my Pimsleur Mandarin Chinese course so was familiar with the format. I'd spent a month in Thailand before buying Thai. Lessons 1 and 2 were almost a review. 3 and 4 are proving a challange because of the speed the native speakers speak. Pronunciation is very important and the speakers ofter speak so fast words tend to run together. Repitition is key.

    Comments about Thai, Conversational:

I bought this for my daughters 7 and 9 years old, while the lessons were nicely done, the course failed to hold their attention. I learned to speak Thai in a similar fashion, listening to tapes of native Thai speakers and memorizing phrases. Maybe we'll try again when they are older.

    Comments about Thai, Conversational:

I have used Pimsleurs to learn many times before. This makes my 4th language. I have tried everything else and nothing is as easy and effective as your product. It is worth every penny. The only reason it only got four and not five stars is that it could explain sentence structure a little more and not leave it to the user to decipher the placement of the words in the sentence as much. All in all it is a wonderful learning tool. Thank you

    Comments about Thai, Conversational:

I am married to a Thai but she's a horrible teacher. I have finished 27 of 30 lessons and feel I'm not that far along. I have studied it carefully and methodically over 2 years (not 10 days he he) It works well by giving me a great basis for the language but it only scratches the surface. Just wish there was a follow up. A Thai 2 or Thai 3.

    Comments about Thai, Conversational:

I am onto the 5th lesson so far and the method really works. I am actually learning to speak thai! I will stick with the complete series of Cds and likely buy the advanced set once I am finished with the first set. Thanks pimsleur!
