Pimsleur® equals success. Just one 30-minute lesson a day gets you speaking and understanding like no other program.

This course includes Lessons 11-15 from the Japanese Level 1 program featuring 2.5 hours of language instruction. Each lesson provides 30 minutes of spoken language practice, with an introductory conversation, and new vocabulary and structures. Detailed instructions enable you to understand and participate in the conversation. Practice for vocabulary introduced in previous lessons is included in each lesson. The emphasis is on pronunciation and comprehension, and on learning to speak Japanese.

The Japanese Language
Japanese is spoken by about 130 million people, 122 million of whom are in Japan. There are also speakers in the Ryukyu Islands, Korea, Taiwan, parts of the United States, and Brazil. Japanese has many “registers” or levels of politeness. Pimsleur’s Japanese courses will teach you how to speak at a polite register, which is appropriate in virtually any situation you are likely to encounter in Japan.

Comments about Pimsleur Japanese Level 1 Lessons 11-15 MP3:

Great product for audio learners. I have a slight hearing and attention problem. So for me it is a bit more challenging than, perhaps, the average person. I have to go over a single lesson twice sometimes. Also I have to look certain phrases up online so I know what the speakers are saying. Sumi ma sen....or sumi ma sem? That being said, the retention I have and the ease of speaking once a lesson is mastered is superb. I would definitely recommend this product.

Service and delivery comments:

Perfect. I love the app that is available for the mp3s.

Comments about Pimsleur Japanese Level 1 Lessons 11-15 MP3:

The Pimsleur method is exactly the best method for learning a spoken language. I myself seem to have been blessed with a facility for learning languages easily, and am fairly fluent in both French and German. Whenever I try a few phrases in a new language, native speakers tell me I have a good accent. Recently, for trips to both Russia and Japan, I bought beginning courses from Pimsleur. In each case, I was able to make myself understood and got appreciative reactions from a variety of local people. Pimsleur teaches you really useful phrases, adding new vocabulary gradually and does a lot of repetition, not in rote fashion but by varying, combining and recombining words, phrases, and concepts to keep you thinking in the new language. I cannot recommend it enough.

Comments about Pimsleur Japanese Level 1 Lessons 11-15 MP3:

I first bought Japanese I, lessons 1-10 in 2007 before my first trip to Japan. At first, I had difficulty learning through listening, as I am mostly a visual person and wanted to see how things were spelled, etc. But, the Pimsleur method works, and while in Japan, I was able to get by with basic Pimsleur phrases and a phrasebook.

It's 8 years later, and I am now progressing in the Pimsleur lessions (Japanese and Spanish) for fun and for brain retraining. Learning languages by sound is helping me to rewire my brain through careful listening, perfecting accents, memorization, learning a new skill, etc.

I learn twice for one lesson. 30 minutes a day. The instruction is excellent. It teaches you the way how Japanese people talk in their daily life.
