The Italian Language
Italian is the official language of Italy and San Marino, and one of the official languages of Switzerland, Croatia, and Slovenia. Italian is spoken by about 58 million people in Italy, 24,000 in San Marino, 840,000 in Switzerland, another million in other European countries, and approximately 5 million in North and South America. Historically, Italian is a daughter language of Latin. Italian uses the Roman alphabet and the pronunciation of the language follows the spelling very closely.

Comments about Pimsleur Italian Level 1 Lessons 26-30 MP3:

Almost every day on the way to/from work, I listen to Chinese or Italian. I have learned a lot. It gives me a pleasure when I use now both languages for elderly people who don't know English at all. It takes me about one week to learn well each lesson well.

Comments about Pimsleur Italian Level 1 Lessons 26-30 MP3:

Have used other systems to learn German and Spanish. This program for Italian far superior. Phenomenal deal for the price. Does not tie you to a computer. Amount of new material relative to reviewed material in each lesson is perfect. Makes it very easy to retain what you've learned. Also very practical in the words and phrases taught.
