The Pimsleur® Method: the easiest, fastest way to learn a new language. Completely portable, easily downloadable, and lots of fun. You’ll be speaking and understanding in no time flat!
This course includes Lessons 26-30 plus reading instruction from the Hebrew Level 1 program featuring 3.5 hours of language instruction. Each lesson provides 30 minutes of spoken language practice, with an introductory conversation, and new vocabulary and structures. Detailed instructions enable you to understand and participate in the conversation. Practice for vocabulary introduced in previous lessons is included in each lesson. The emphasis is on pronunciation and comprehension, and on learning to speak Hebrew.

Reading Lessons are included at the end of Lesson 30 to provide you with an introduction to reading the Hebrew alphabet. These lessons, which total about one hour, are designed to teach you to sound out words with Hebrew pronunciation and accent. A Reading Booklet to be used with the audio lessons is also included in PDF format.

The Hebrew Language
Hebrew, a Semitic language, is the official language of Israel. It was once considered a dead language with no native speakers, although it remained in use for liturgical purposes. Hebrew was revived as a spoken language in the mid-19th century and today is spoken by over 5 million in Israel.

Comments about Hebrew Phase 1, Unit 26-30:

The voices are clear and the vocabulary builds on itself. Because it is on cd or mp3, I can repeat the lessons as much as I need. I can even go back and review earlier lessons if I feel the need. I can also do the lessons at any time convenient to me. This is important when schedules are complex. At lesson 30, laguage patterns are beginning to take shape.

Comments about Hebrew Phase 1, Unit 26-30:

I am on phase 1, lesson 26.
I would suggest that periodically, perhaps every five lessons, a conversation between the man and the woman would be included covering most of the words that have been learned up to that place in the lessons. I find that I tend to forget some of the earlier words.
