Comments about French Phase 1, Unit 26-30:

I am using this to learn to speak conversational french. It is more effective that anything else I have seen or tried. I highly recommend it! Though of course you have to ready for the natural frustration that comes with learning a foreign language and push on. This program is easy to use, effective in teaching, and affordable. I can understand french spoken to me mist of the time and can formulate responses in a good accent.

Comments about French Phase 1, Unit 26-30:

I love Pimsleur French, but lately I have had a really hard time downloading it to my computer. Being linked with Java as it is, it will only download one file at a time, and it turns it into a really long process. On this particular purchase, I lost half of one of the lessons. For some reason it only downloaded 17 minutes. This may be more of a problem with Java and my computer than with the product.

Comments about French Phase 1, Unit 26-30:

I just returned from my first trip to France. Prior to leaving, I reviewed all 30 of the Phase 1 lessons. Although quite limited, I was able to speak enough necessary French when required. Also, I was also able to hear words that I learned while listening to French conversations. I will keep working on new lessons and review the old ones in hopes of building and improving my French vocabulary.

Comments about French Phase 1, Unit 26-30:

I have cousins in France who do not speak English. I wish I had some Pimsleur under the belt two years ago when I went to see them. I plan on going back. My cousins and I exchange e-mails and more and more I am able to read what they write without a tranlation program. I can pick up more as I listen to French radio stations I have not found anything I didn't like. Stick with the first few lessons. The repitition makes it a little boring, but its very necessary. There will be less of that as you go along. I only wish there was a program on the Basque language as that is where my cousins live. If I had the time, I would learn as many languages as I could. Thanks Pimsleur

Comments about French Phase 1, Unit 26-30:

I'm trying to become fluent in a 2nd language. I downloaded the lessons, burnt them to CDs, and listen to them during my commute. The native speakers employed are excellent especially in developing correct enunciation. Without supporting written materials, the oral lessons are challenging. Understanding phrase laisons and grammar construction demand acute listening and problem solving. My primary suggestion would be to link the accompanying reading lessons to the actual oral lessons. The reading lessons use phrases and vocabulary that are not linked but independent of the oral lessons.
