Can learning another language be as easy as speaking your own? Yes with Pimsleur it’s that easy. Learn on your own time, at your own pace, and wherever you choose.
This course includes Lessons 21-25 from the Czech Level 1 Program featuring 2.5 hours of language instruction. Each lesson provides 30 minutes of spoken language practice, with an introductory conversation, and new vocabulary and structures. Detailed instructions enable you to understand and participate in the conversation. Practice for vocabulary introduced in previous lessons is included in each lesson. The emphasis is on pronunciation and comprehension, and on learning to speak Czech.

The Czech Language
Czech is the official language of the Czech Republic. There are approximately 12 million native speakers. The two largest dialect groups in the Czech Republic are Bohemian (most widely spoken) and Hanak Moravian, spoken in the southeast. Pimsleur's Czech teaches the Bohemian dialect.

Thankful for Pimsleur

Comments about Pimsleur Czech Level 1 Lessons 21-25 MP3:

Pimsleur Czech Lesson 1-30 have helped me feel more confident in speaking and listening the Czech language. But sometimes I desire a written dialogue to go along with the conversation I'm listening to. Since I'm a visual learner, I often look up words on Google Translator to help me discern what letters are being used in the words spoken. But I think the key to learning Czech is to hear the separation of the words and to understand when words are put together to form one word. Pimsleur has taken me another step in my confidence level to understand key phrases and to respond in a respectful way when speaking with people in Czech Republic.

Comments about Pimsleur Czech Level 1 Lessons 21-25 MP3:

I walk in the mornings for exercise, and have been working through Pimsleur Czech. The program introduces you gradually to different words and phrases, so that, before I knew it, I was able to say several useful things - construct sentences - in Czech. Learning languages does not come easily to me, but I found that the half hour a day lesson, which focuses on speaking with the proper accent and learning how to construct sentences made learning easy.
I have really enjoyed the program and have gone through 30 units of Czech. I am preparing to do the levels on learning how to read Czech and am excited about it.
I have and will continue to recommend Pimsleur to friends.

Comments about Pimsleur Czech Level 1 Lessons 21-25 MP3:

I spend an hour driving to work each morning so when I listen in the car it is convenient and I feel like I'm not wasting time. I hope to visit the Czech Republic some day. If I do, I will know how to order a glass of wine and ask for directions.

Comments about Pimsleur Czech Level 1 Lessons 21-25 MP3:

Too much repetition of what's the best road to Prague, what direction to take, etc. etc. How many kids you have and where the kids and spouse are. I found on my trip that it would have been more beneficial to have learned more daily vocabularly words. Especially needed more work on how to count and make change. Also should have days of the week, colors, directions, months of the year, more food words, etc.

I am a convert to Pimsleur. It is hands down the best self-teaching language CDs...Rosetta Stone has been widely advertised, but it is not the best language learning method.
