Comments about Swiss German, Compact:
I truly have enjoyed learning Swiss German using the Pimsleur method. My husband is Swiss and I am now able to have small conversations with him.
Since I have finished all 10 lessons I would really like to continue learning the language. Although I can ask my husband, it is not the same as having the words sounded out, he speaks very fast and doesn't necessarily have the patience.

Comments about Swiss German Phase 1, Units 1-10:
I had been reluctant to order the Swiss German course, fearing that I would get it mixed up with standard German. But Swiss German words and sounds have a distinct charm of their own which immediately won me over. The woman's voice, especially, expresses a delightful lilting quality that makes one want to visit Switzerland to hear more. I found that my grasp of standard German was strengthened, rather than weakened, by working through the Swiss German course and comparing the numerous differences. A full 30-lesson Swiss German course would be a most welcome addition!

Comments about Swiss German, Compact:
The pacing of the program is great. Review comes up just as frustration with new material begins to fluster me. My husband and I are both going through the program and although we learn at different rates the structure of the lessons makes it comfortable for both of us.
We are planning a trip to visit Swiss relatives soon and believe our language skills will help us communicate with both English and non-English speakers. A good value for the money and FUN to study.
Comments about Swiss German, Compact:
Very easy to use. I think you should continue the series. We are getting more and more Swiss vistors to our country, especially in the ski industry.
Comments about Swiss German Phase 1, Units 1-10:
How wonderful to find a resource to help learn Swiss German. Very easy to use for both myself, and our children (who have a Swiss dad). There really isn't much around to help learn this language, so please, please extend this series.
