Comments about Swahili Phase 1, Units 1-30:

I have studied Egyptian Arabic 1 and am now studying Swahili. I find both enjoyable and helpful in my work, though the Arabic in South Sudan is somewhat different than the Egyptian Arabic. I usually do 30 minutes in the morning. With my Arabic, I was able to interview most of the Arabic speaking patients without an interpreter.
I was hoping there would be an Arabic 2. Also, it would be nice if there were some courses geared toward medical personnel.

Comments about Swahili Phase 1, Units 1-30:

We are planning a trip to Tanzania soon and needed a fast way to learn Swahili. The Pimsleur technique works! It teaches you how to recognize words and phrases by how they sound, which is tough to do in conversation. My wife and I were watching a movie about Tanzania and I found that I was recognizing pieces of conversations and expressions in Swahili just from the sound of the words. This course won't teach you all the grammar stuff but it enables you to communicate your thoughts and know what the other person is saying. I've already been recommending it to friends.

      Swahili

      By Anna

Comments about Swahili Phase 1, Units 1-30:

I have been trying to learn Swahili and must say that it is not the easiest language (and I should know, I speak 5 others). Following Pimsleur made it somehow easier to understand, to sink in and to have the confidence to speak. I have completed Phase 1 and wonder what next. You should really consider Phase 2, even though I presume Swahili isn't as popular as Spanish.

Comments about Swahili Phase 1, Units 1-30:

Really, any language you want to learn pimsleur delivers if you take the 15-30 a day it takes, seriously, they dont pay me, I paid them for the lessons download.

I recomend it anyone who wants to learn any language, my Kiswahili is getting better with each passing day. I wish they'll have Kiswahili set 2.
        Thanks,

Comments about Swahili Phase 1, Units 1-30:

We have travelled extensively in East Africa and also served as missionaries in the Eastern and Southern Congo where Swahili is spoken. This is the best method to get you speaking quickly and clearly! Whether you are going on safari in Kenya or Tanzania, or are doing charitable work in a Swahili-speaking region, knowing some of the local language will enhance your experience 100-fold! We've re-done this course twice already and each time it has improved our skills in Swahili.
