I am so glad I decided to go for this. In my area there are a lot of Hispanic people and I have always loved the musical quality of the language. I studied Spanish for 4 years in high school but haven't used it in all these years. A couple of things I like about this course is that you HEAR it spoken by a native speaker and if I don't "get it" the first time I do a lesson I can do it again the next day. I also like the reading booklet that comes with it. You get to see what the words look like. I was disappointed that the CDs were so expensive but then I found the downloads and they are within my price range. Looking forward to getting Spanish 2 when I finish Spanish 1 .

This product is GREAT, for a beginner or advance student. Listening everyday builds a vocabulary that is useful right away. The repetition style helps to re-enforce what you've learned and build on what you are learning. You can repeat the same lesson all day long, but the next day move on to the next lesson. I love the Pimsleur system and I have purchase 6-10 and will continue to purchase more. It's a little pricey, but the discounts that Pimsleur gives, is helpful.

I use this product in my car, which is perfect because I much prefer audio learning over software or book. It is comprehensive and builds on itself, and goes at a moderate pace to keep me challenged. You have to stick with it because it is redundant, but that is the only way to learn a language. Effective and I do plan on purchasing the next phase.

I have to completely focus on the lessons and do them more than once each but it is sinking in-really enjoying it and love that you can buy piece by piece. Adios!

I truly enjoy listening to my Spanish lessons with my MP3 player and am learning so much! The Pimsleur lessons surely exceeded my expectations and I really appreciate how I am given sufficient time to practice repeating phrases. Although I have only completed the first three lessons in Spanish Phase 1, I am confident using simple conversations and appreciate that the pace is slow enough so I can catch on and understand conversations of Spanish-speaking persons. I plan to complete all four levels and would highly recommend it anyone who is interested in learning how to speak Spanish.
