        Comments about Spanish Phases 1-4:

I listen to these CD's in the car - would never get around to it if I had to sit and do it at home on a computer, but this is a great way for me to learn to speak a language! The course is constructed with just the right amount of review and repetition so that it can really be absorbed, and the little dialogues between the male and female speaker are engaging and natural, and give a real sense of how the language is used. I don't mind that the written component is limited - I can always check out a textbook or dictionary, or start reading a Spanish book as I become more advanced, and this has all the basics for beginning to make my way as either a tourist or a worker in a Latin American country. As you can see, I'm a great enthusiast!

        Comments about Spanish Phases 1-4:

it is VERY helpful to hear how the words should be pronounced.
i used to study spanish with books but it kept getting more and more confusing and the more i studied the more i felt i couldn't speak it and never would be able to.
i now understand quite a bit of what spanish speakers are saying and can speak a little bit with them myself.

          Comments about Spanish Phases 1-4:

I've been using Pimsleur Spanish for about 2 weeks now. I listen to the MP3 while I'm cooking dinner and I really like that I can do other things while I'm learning Spanish. I really like the pace of the courses. I often think too much when I'm trying to learn a language and Pimsleur doesn't give you a ton of time to respond, it forces you to just speak without a lot of time to think. I've noticed a difference in the ease of my speech just after 2 weeks. I'm a lot more comfortable with speaking although I'm still at teh basic level. My only complaint is that there isn't a lot of explanation. For example, when to use bien vs bueno. I find myself doing more research on my own to figure it out.

            Comments about Spanish Phases 1-4:

I drive my car from place to place for my job each day, often requiring a cumulative hour or more each day. Pimsleur has been an excellent and efficient way to learn Spanish on the road. It has been the best method of several I use for helping me to have the confidence and the ability to speak with a more natural accent and interact with native speakers. Of the methods I use, Pimsleur is the one I prioritize most.

              Comments about Spanish Phases 1-4:

This is the right program! I am 57 years old. I took two years of Spanish in High School, (a long time ago), and then one year in Junior College. I rarely had the opportunity to speak it so sometime during my 30's, I took a conversational class. Nothing stuck! Fast forward to today. I really want to learn Spanish as I have a lot of Mexican friends. I tried other introductory courses and they just didn't work. Finally, I tried the first 8 lessons with Pimsler and it works! So much so, I bought the whole course. And it's much less expensive if you download it as an MP3. I practice one lesson almost every day. They suggest every day but life gets in the way sometimes and sometimes, I need to redo the day before. This is an AWESOME way to learn a foreign language. I mean, it IS just like we learned how to talk as children. I want to go for Italian next! Thank you Pimsler!!!

              Service and delivery comments:

For the reading material for each Phase, it would be nice to have the English translation with the new words so we know what we are saying and reading, without going to a dictionary.
