Comments about Spanish, Basic:
I use this product daily in the car, anywhere from 30-60 mins per day on one lesson. What I'll typically do is practice two lessons for an entire week before moving on to the next two lessons. When I'm out and about I'll try to use what I learned as much as possible and ask cashiers, ect. if they know any spanish and if I can practice my new phrases out on them. I do this at work also with my friend the janitor. They all seem delighted to see that I'm trying to learn their language and will even teach me extra words/phrases.
Just this weekend I was out on a date with a Tejana and we wanted something to drink. The only place around was a food truck and she said to me, "They only speak Spanish in this part of town and I don't know how to speak it!" I walked up to the truck and said, "Yo quiero beber algo, por favor." The people nearly fell out of the truck, but they produced two ice cold beverages with the biggest smiles I've seen in a long time!
The only two drawbacks that I've experienced are that some of the pronunciations are difficult to distinguish, for example "pagar" sounded like "pabar". The second drawback is that it seems like when a simple to pronounce word is introduced (dinero, for example) they will break it down repeatedly, but when a more challenging word is introduced, they will just say it repeatedly without breaking it down into syllables (ex. pagar). Overall, very pleased with this product.
