Comments about Romanian, Conversational:

We gave the program to our 15 year old grandson, who was adopted from Romania in January, 2000. He will study the language in his spare time.

Comments about Romanian, Conversational:

I had some business negotiations in Romania earlier this year and jumped on the Pimsleur CD's that were on sale at big name bookseller for like $20.

Spent the next week listening in the car every where I went. About a 1/3 of the way through, I was so used the "repeat after me" that I found myself accidentally speaking Romanian! It just works it's way into your brain.

Was it fun? Not really 'fun', you had to work at, sometimes I'd rather listen to music but made myself play the tapes. Let's just say... there was no pain involved!!

A+ product for learning to SPEAK Romanian. Hmmm... signs I had to do a bit of asking questions because this is not a READING or WRITING instruction. But...

Do your homework with this method, 30 minutes a day (I'd do 60 minutes most days) and you WILL learn to SPEAK another language.

Comments about Romanian, Conversational:

I studied the first 25 lessons before I went to Romania. I had a number of friends in Romania and I stayed with them on my visit. It was a fantastic experience. This course was very helpful in that it helped me break the ice. My friends were delighted to hear me speak (or try to speak) their language. It helped make my vacation one of the best (if not the best) I had ever experienced. Hearing how the language is actually pronounce was a tremendous advantage. I would say that not seeing how that language was written earlier in the course was a hindrance. But, overall, I was very glad that I used Pimsleur.
