Comments about Portuguese (Brazilian) Phase 1, Unit 06-10:

I use Pimsleur because I want to learn to speak Brazilian Portuguese, and I find listening to it being spoken to be the best way to do that. There's really no better way to do it. The only con could be were you to travel to Rio, having studied with these audio courses, you'd have a learning curve on listening to the natives, because they sound much different than the Sao Paulo accent being taught. However, the course still gives you a solid understanding of speaking and listening to this language.

Comments about Port (Braz) Phase 1, Unit 06-10:

We started the daily excercises for Brazilian Portuegese one month before a trip to Rio. Having some basic languange knowledge was so valuable. The lessons were fun too. The only problem was we only made it to lesson 15, so when we spoke to people they thought we knew more than we did! Highly recommended.
