Comments about Polish, Comprehensive:

I enjoy listening to my Polish lesson(s), while I drive to and from work. I like the fact words are used from past lessons and in different contexts, so to make your brain think and not to memorize a pattern. Some of the dialogs are a little fast, I wish they were spoken at a slower speed. And, I wish the pause was longer at the part when asking to repeat a phrase.

Works great, Not tied down to a computer. Listen in car using thumb drive.

Service and delivery comments:

Pronunciation, I can hear differences between the man and woman on the same word. Sometimes they emphasize a work and I can't hear the sound.

Comments about Polish Phase 1, Units 1-30:

I learnt more and more quickly than any of the many language courses I have tried over the years. I read up on Paul Pimsleur's work before I bought it. The research into language learning is sound and it works. Native Polish speakers have complimented me on my accent. The only drawback has been that my Polish accent is good enough to make people think I am far more fluent than I am.

    Service and delivery comments:

This product is just fine. I'd really like to see a Polish 2.

Comments about Polish Phase 1, Units 1-30:

The way that it makes you repeat and think about what you are going to say. It's exactly the way we teach kids to speak. Easy to understand break downs of the words. The sound quality is great. I love the fact that the lessons are only 30 minutes. That is convenient. The only thing I would change is the audio version of the instructions. It isn't completely the same. I was struggling at a mid point in the lesson, but continued going through to the next lesson like it says. Read the written directions, if you are having a hard time with a lesson, do it over. Doesn't have to be the same day, the next day is fine. Would love to see Phase 2 and 3 of Polish, please! Well worth the money!!

Oh, the speech gets pretty fast later on, I think maybe slower for learning would be better. Especially in phase 1. Speed will come with using it with native speakers. Just my opinion

Comments about Polish Phase 1, Units 1-30:

If you are actually looking to learn the Polish language, and you are (like I was) someone who knows NOTHING about Polish . . . I can confidently say that there is NO EASIER PLACE TO BEGIN THAN PIMSLEUR.

Pimsleur introduces each new word slowly . . . syllable by syllable. Then . . . after the word is built up, it is spoken at full speed after that. Material is introduced in a way that it does not feel overwhelming. You get just a few new words each lesson, and sentences to "repeat after me". Due to its interval repetition, the material is taught so that just when you start to forget something, it is reinforced. It uses humor to keep you engaged. One of the highlights to the course is that you don't have to do any thinking, the Polish comes out of your mouth spontaneously. HONESTLY, if you are looking for the EASIEST entry point into Polish, get the Pimsleur Polish.

Some minuses: You might feel you need more than one day to do a lesson, but don't feel bad. In my case, sometimes it would take me 4 days before I could move on. But then again, I am a true language idiot, so maybe it'll be easier for you. AND Yes, there will be a few times later in the course when the narrator will say "pay attention to the ending", and you won't be able to distinguish these endings. Don't worry about it; it is not crucial at this stage. Just do the best you can. Polish is a difficult language and a lot of your questions, concerns, and misunderstandings will get ironed out in follow-up courses in Polish language instruction.

I only wish Pimsleur would come out with Polish 2 and 3!
