Comments about Hindi, Conversational:
I am only on the first disc of the program, but have started my first conversation in Hindi, with confidence. I read the instructions, played the first lesson, and my experience learning began. No note-taking, no flash cards, no homework...just thirty minutes a day, and I feel great about my progress. Returning to India in two months, and excited to know I'll be able to use some of what I'm learning.

Comments about Hindi, Conversational:
I was impressed by how nice and useful the Pimsleur Conversational Hindi proved to be. I love learning foreign languages (I know about 5 different foreign languages). However my approach has always been to either take a class or to grab a textbook and a dictionary. I have never tried an course entirely audio before. I took a class for Hindi some time ago, but I didn't learn much. I was expecting the audio course to be boring and easy. But suprisingly, I liked it very much. It gives me courage to speak the sentences I have learned. After repeating all the sentences so many times, they just come automatically in your head. Moreover, I feel motivated to do my 30min lesson every day. It is not just boring repetition, it actually pushes you to think about what you learn and find analogies (gramatical rules) and apply them to new words. In the future, I also want to try learning Chinese with this method.

Comments about Hindi, Conversational:
I learn Hindi while I drive to work. I've started dating an Indian guy. He lights up every time I talk to him in Hindi. it's a great way to show respect. And it's easy! I spent 1 hour each day for a week, when I met his family, I surprised everyone.
