This is my fourth set of Haitian Kreyol lessons from Pimsleur. I plan to finish the last two sets soon. This course, while augmented with others', has really helped me hear kreyol and to develope an ear for it. Learning kreyol is realavively easy, especially if you already know some french, but understanding it when it is spoken by a native speaker is another thing! This course has greatly helped me develope an ear for the language.

I work in Haiti at a medical clinic, so learning Haitian creole is key to my work there with the Haitian people. They love to hear an AMerican woman speaking their language.
The tapes are extremely helpful. I listen to them in the car on my half hour drive to and from work. The accents are very authentic, and the conversations are mostly very useful. Sometimes the conversations are not realistic- Haiti is extremely poor- there arent movie theatres or swimming pools to visit, etc- so some of these conversations are unrealistic. But otherwise i have learned alot and find them very useful.
Yes, i will continue on in my studies.
