Comments about Greek (Modern) Phase 1, Unit 01-05:
Pimsleur WORKS. I love learning this way, it's so natural for me (instead of repeating individual words/phrases endlessly, or looking at vague pictures and trying to figure out what they are supposed to be referring to). I come from a Greek family that never taught us Greek, they kept it as the secret language that they used when they didn't want us to know what they were talking about. I checked Vol. 1 & 2 of Pimsleur's Greek out from the library and immediately knew that this was the way I was going to learn Greek. I only wish there were more than two volumes - it's THAT good! My accent is so good that, when I start a conversation in Greek, native speakers assume that I am fluent and fly off speaking 100 mph and using words and phrases that I don't know and I end up making frequent use of the line "I speak a LITTLE Greek," which always elicits a confused/shocked look from them. I ALWAYS recommend Pimsleurs to ANYONE wanting to learn ANY language, to me it's the ONLY method. I love how they also give you variations of pronunciation that you might hear when speaking to native speakers - really helpful!

Comments about Greek (Modern) Phase 1, Unit 01-05:
I used this program seeing an advertisement on a website I was looking at. Just to give it a chance, I ordered the first ten lessons, then proceeded to order the entire first set. I was completely satisfied. I even downloaded the second set because I had such a great experience. I keep bugging the company to release a third edition because of how effective this program is.

Comments about Greek (Modern) Phase 1, Unit 01-05:
This is actually the second program that I've bought. I enjoy being able to just sit back and listen and learn. The one issue I do have is sometimes the pronounciations are questionable as that I can't tell what exactly their saying... such as a b or p? t or d?

Comments about Greek (Modern) Phase 1, Unit 01-05:
It seems to be a very natural way to learn. Very repetitive which to me is good. Sometime it's hard to hear the difference in sounds. Can be hard to distiguish s, v, and th's.
