Comments about German, Plus:
Not as well organized as levels 1-3. It asks if you remember words that were never introduced! Still worth buying, though.

Comments about German Phase 4, Units 1-10:
I completed the full Pimsleur course for German from Phase 1-4, and I have enjoyed all of it. My experience with native speakers has been great, and most native speakers comment on how fluidly I am able to speak the language. This last installment steps the speed up even more, and by the end of it I had a better gasp on the German case system as well as some experience with different sentence structures. The only problem was that it only lasted 10 lessons, and I really wish there were more available. Overall, this has been a great start to learning German, and it has me excited enough to learn more.

Comments about German Phase 4, Units 1-10:
Pimsleur fits my lifestyle perfectly because the program can be used anywhere. I usually listened to each segment at least twice for emphasis, and now, after having completed Pimsleur I-IV in sequence, I feel fully confident that fluency will someday be possible. My only beef is that the "du" form is not used much in Pimsleur IV. This program did not give me a huge vocabulary, nor is it meant to. It did give me something no other language course ever has--confidence when speaking in different tenses. If you want vocabulary, buy some flashcards. But good luck knowing the proper article and word endings without Pimsleur! I am continuing my study on a daily basis, and have Pimsleur to thank for my extremely solid foundation.

Comments about German Phase 4, Units 1-10:
I bought the whole set before moving to Zürich. I knew no German before Pimsleur. The teaching method is excellent and captivating and works. I put the CD in my car and listened during the commute. When I arrived in Switzerland I tested out of the first level of German. What I especially like is that useful language and scenarios are taught. Both easy and more difficult words and grammar are learned together. When I bought it I could not load it on my smart phone, but had to use the car CD player and buy a portable player. Perhaps that is different now. The price seems steep, but it not only saved me money by allowing me to skip on to the next level, but prepared me to learn more effectively when I began group courses. I still use it as a refresher.

Merchant response: German IV will be out later this year, so you will get your "more advance options." And you will find that all the vocabulary recalled has already been introduced.
