Comments about Arabic (East) Phase 3, Units 1-30:
The 3 phases of Eastern Arabic were fun and rewarding to use, and left me able to communicate simple ideas in Arabic. I only have 3 complaints:
1) It teaches you Syrian / Lebanese 'slang' -- my Sudanese in-laws were thoroughly amused by it (they speak their own Arabic 'slang'), but sometimes what I tried to say couldn't get across to them at all. Similarly, I wasn't able to understand them as often as I could have hoped. This isn't a problem if your interest is in speaking with Syrians / Lebanese, of course.
2) There seemed to be discontinuity between the 3 different phases; slightly different vocabulary being used when you switched from Phase 2 to 3, for example. It isn't that big a deal; you can pick up the new style and start learning again pretty easily.
3) I want more! More lessons, more vocabulary, practice in more conversational contexts, etc. It's too fun and easy to stop at 3 phases :)
Otherwise, I am very happy with the product.
