Comments about Dutch Phase 1, Units 1-30:
This is by far the best teaching method for languages. After a while living in Belgium, I was reading very well, understanding and writing more or less but when it came to speaking, I struggled with a heavy accent and clumsiness on pronounciation until I found Pimsleur Dutch. Now my conversations are much more fluent and I'm looking forward to the next units :-)

Comments about Dutch Phase 1, Units 1-30:
I have completed all 30 lessons and am going back through a few of them to refresh and refine. I listen to it on walks, in the car, and while I am working at home. It is fairly easy to follow and the repeat process is very useful in bringing back earlier phrases and grammar combinations for memory sake.
It stops at lesson 30 - why???? I am ready to move on to a new lesson, but this is all I can find. This does not make sense for a serious language company. Also, it is way too expensive for the depth of language you get, with no grammar guides or phrase book (the reading lessons are really worthless, other than to learn how to spell certain words), and it does not really follow the lessons, making it more worthless.
It is give it an overall 3.5 out of 5. It was actually the best to help me learn and memorize the language, compared to other courses that I have studies, which focused on the grammar.

Comments about Dutch Phase 1, Units 1-30:
I purchased the downloadable version of this program and found that process to be very straightforward. I have taken 23 of the 30 lessons that were included in the program and already people who speak Dutch are telling me that my pronunciation is perfect! I feel that I have so much more to learn and wish that there were additional lessons. Only Phase 1 is available, which is frustrating because I feel I have just begun to scratch the surface of this interesting language. If there were additional Phases with more advanced lessons, I would buy them. As it is, I will attempt to gain additional knowledge of the language by streaming Dutch TV shows and newscasts.
I found the native male speaker a bit difficult to understand at times. The female speaker was much more audible and sometimes I would not correctly hear the word being taught until she spoke it. But it is good to hear the slight variations in the pronunciation because no two people will pronounce the words exactly the same and we must get used to that.
I must admit, when a word was repeated only by the male speaker and never uttered by the female speaker during a particular lesson (which was a fairly rare occurrence), I did have to "cheat" a bit and use outside, written sources to actually discern what the word really was.
Thanks to everyone who put this program together. I am very impressed.

Comments about Dutch Phase 1, Units 1-30:
I am about half way through the program and I use it while I am on my long commute. I have already recommended it to frends, but I'm not sure I'll ever get the chance to try out this language.
I have taken a couple languages in college though, and this seems like a much more practical and quickly effective approach than even the best beginning lanugage class structure there.

Comments about Dutch, Comprehensive:
After spending over a month in the netherlands, I found the language rather hard to get a grip on.
Like the brazilian portugeuse that I'm also learning, pimsleur breaks it down nicely.
