Comments about Arabic (Egy) Phase 1, Unit 16-20:

Listening is great, but all of these lessons, for the most part, are focused on money. There are verbs and commonly used words and numbers that are featured, which is awesome, but if I wasn't already studying Arabic, my understanding of the language based on this guide would be only be of buying things. Also, it has weird sentences like, "I have too much money." I can't think of one time I've needed to say that in any language, especially when traveling.

Pimsleur is great. I hope to find another lesson that has different conversation topics.

Comments about Arabic (Egy) Phase 1, Unit 16-20:

As a NY resident, I don't drive but I walk a lot. So I listen to the tape and speak the phrases aloud. With everyone talking mysteriously to no one because of cell phones, this does not look odd at all (any longer).
I think Pimsleur's an excellent way to learn a foreign language. They start easy, repeat things and I'm remembering it. I've tried it out on a Yemenese & a Moraccan shopkeepers and both said that I was speaking Egyptian. Inflection on Pimsleur is excellent.
